Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Tellabs, the telecom service provider, will start cooperation talks with its personnel. The aim is to cut the workforce by 110 employees. The cuts will effect mainly product development and its support functions, customer service, marketing and administration. The negotiations will be finished by mid-March.
After the finished cooperation negotiations Tellabs has decided, on 9 January to make 97 employees redundant.
