Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Allianz AG's Dresdner Bank AG is planning to cut 240 jobs at its investment banking unit Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) by the end of 2004, a spokesperson for DrKW said. Of DrKW's 6,000 employees worldwide, about 90 will lose their jobs in London, 80 in Frankfurt, 50 in New York and 20 in Tokyo. Roughly half of the affected jobs are back-office positions.
