Description
Barilla announced the restructuring of its Pasta Meal Division, by closing down a plant in Matera and a mill in Termoli, and rearranging production across its remaining plants. This process will produce 229 redundancies, 160 of which will take place in the sites that will be closed down. Some 100 people will be covered by a "mobility" procedure (that is an income support measure) that will accompany them to retirement, while the other workers will be offered a new job in some of the other company locations. Such redeployment will be supported by specific incentives.
