Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As a consequence of poor productivity and a lack of demand, the French textile manufacturer DMC has announced that a total of 89 jobs will go by the beginning of 2005. The sewing thread production, based in Mulhouse currently employs 497 people. The restructuring programme involves the closure of the needlework thread division.
