European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Południowy Koncern Energetyczny of Katowice, a power generation entity, is finding it necessary to reduce its costs in order to remain competitive in the market. It has dismissed 900 employees within the past three years and redundancies planned for the future will extend to another 600 people.
