Restructuring events
European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Between 1,100 and 1,200 jobs will be shed in the beginning of 2005 at the Mercedes site in Bremen, employing some 15,000 workers. 800 workers at most could be employed on other production sites (Rastatt, Berlin, Hamburg-Harburg), the remaining of the job reduction will be made on a voluntary basis or through retirement measures.
