Description
Nortel, the Canadian telecommunications group, has announced a restructuring plan involving the reduction of its workforce by 10%, i.e. 3,500 jobs worldwide. On 1 October 2004, Nortel announced a reduced figure of 3,250 job losses. 1,400 positions would be in the US, 950 in Canada and 650 in the rest of the World.
