Description

More than 170 new jobs are being created in the north-east of England by Royal Mail.

The organisation says it is recruiting additional staff to improve postal services in the region, which have come under fire for late deliveries. Residents, businesses and MPs had criticised Royal Mail after it scrapped its traditional second delivery. The company said it was taking on more staff to deliver a ‘reliable service' to its customers.
