Description
Dutch food company CSM will launch a restructuring at its German subsidiary BakeMark Deutschland GmbH; some 100 jobs will be cut. The cost of the restructuring will be € 4.5 million. The sales organisation of BakeMark will be adjusted to target a smaller group of artisan-like customers. Moreover it will focus on the growth potential of frozen products for restaurants, fast food chains, and coffee and sandwich shops. The workforce at the production location in Delmenhorst, north-western Germany, will be reduced to improve efficiency. The restructuring costs will be compensated through the funds collected from the sale of CSM subsidiaries Dreidoppel in Germany and Lachaise in France in September 2004.
