Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Royal KPN NV accelerated its restructuring efforts Friday, unveiling 110 job losses at the support unit KPN Services, which provides administrative and human resources facilities with 873 employees.
This restructuring will likely be finalized in 2005. KPN spokesman Bram Oudshoorn confirmed the KPN Services move, but said that KPN is hopeful that it will find other suitable jobs for the majority of the laid-off employees.
