Description
Baur Versand, a subsidiary to the German mail order group Otto, is planning to cut around 200 jobs by the end of 2005. At present, the company employs 3,000 staff. The company says that it registered a drop in turnover of around 10% in 2003, to € 867 million. Large parts of the company's purchasing department are now to be merged with Otto's activities in Hamburg.
