Delphi, the American manufacturer of automotive components which already employs more than 5,000 people in Poland, has announced plans to hire some 200 engineers for its technical centre in Cracow. The technical centre is one in a network of 34 research and development units around the world working on new solutions for the automobile industry. On October 2005, Polish government gave Delphi financial incentives upon recruitment of additional engineers in Tech Center in Kraków. The extended research and development centre will employ additional 264 engineers, who will work for instance, on improving the suspension systems for cars produced by: PSA, Ford, BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Opel, Volkswagen, Renault.
