Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
After a radical extension of production at its Galanta unit in 2004, Samsung Electronics has decided to build a new logistic and distribution centre for Central and Eastern Europe. About 200 new jobs will be created there in 2005.
Samsung Electronics Slovakia has just started with building the planned new logistic centre in Galanta. After completion it will provide distribution services of all Samsung products to EU Countries and in other Central and East European countries. The SKK 750 million investment will provide distribution services not only for production plant in Galanta but also for Samsung plants in Hungary and east Asian region too. Currently Samsung employs in its subsidiaries in Slovakia 1,900 full-time and 1,500 seasonal employees.
