European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
A long-term transformation process takes place in the Slovak Gas Industry. During the second stage of the company restructuring a staff reduction of about 10% is planned before the end of 2004. At the same time, some new jobs will be offered in the newly created departments. Employees threatened by dismissal can apply for these jobs. According to collective agreements, the dismissed employees will benefit from compensation programmes.
