Zeleznice Slovenskej republiky (Railways of the Slovak Republic) dismissed, in the framework of its long-term restructuring programme, 380 employees in the first half of 2004. At the end of June 2004, the company had 18,045 employees. The company management plans a further reduction of 377 employees by the end of 2004.
