European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Euromoteur, producer of motors for electrical appliances, will shed 248 jobs out of its 400 strong workforce. The site of Carpiquet will close (176 jobs) and 72 jobs will go in Saint-Lô. The orders from its sole customer, SEB-Moulinex, are decreasing, hence the restructuring plan. On 6 July 2004, the courts urged Euromoteur to better its social plan.
