Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Dutch publishing company Brouwer Groep announced on 19 May 2004, that it will cut 220 jobs. This number of job cuts includes jobs that are to be cut as part of an earlier announced reorganisation, Brouwer Groep said. Part of the job cuts will be layoffs. Brouwer Groep will also close its facility in Delft. The company did not reveal any definitive plans on the facility closure, but said it expected to be able to make an announcement on 1 June 2004 regarding the move.
