Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer is not expecting any increase in sales in 2004, 100 jobs out of the 2,000 strong workforce will disappear during the course of 2004. In addition to this structural adjustment, mainly of support services, a one-off package of cost-reduction measures will also be put into action. The Works Council and the unions have been informed, as compulsory redundancies are inevitable.
