European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Walser, Austrian producer of carpets for motor vehicles, decided for a Greenfield investment in Horná Pôtoň, which is located in the area where the P.S.A. Peugeot Citroen is building its new car production unit. The company's director Hans-Karl Walser informed that the investment of about 1.5 million euros will allow a production of 100,000 car carpets per year by autumn 2004. The new unit will employ 100 employees and will also serve as a distribution centre for the markets in the central EU Member States.
