Description
Glacier Garlock Bearings, which is a member of the US EnPro Industries corporation, decided for a 12 million euro Greenfield investment in the Sučany industrial zone nearby the Martin industrial park. The company plans to start production in the new plant by the end of 2004. About 200 jobs will be created in a first stage. Glacier Garlock Bearings relocates the production from its units in France, Scotland and Dolný Kubín in Slovakia. According to John Russell, the empowered manager for the new investment, the new plant in Sučany will play a key role in the company's Central and East European business strategy.
