European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In the framework of the reorganisation of its production of railway bogies, Alstom Transport, a branch of the French multinational company Alstom, has announced that it plans to discontinue manufacturing in the Savigliano plant. Savigliano will remain the main Alstom Transport site for tilting trains and tilting related technologies. This programme puts at risk some 300 jobs. The plant employed around 1,300 people in March 2004.
