Description
Salamander has developed to become a dynamic player in the service and shoe sectors, offering a large number of strong, well-known brands. As well as being active in the high turnover and yield-generating service sector (60 % of the company's turnover), Salamander continues to be involved in the more traditional sectors of shoe production (15 %) and international shoe retail (18 %). Salamander's industrial (8 %) and property businesses round off the company's portfolio. The company employs 3,500 in the shoe sector. The present restructuring is cutting 430 jobs in the sites of Kornwestheim, Vinningenand Schrozberg. The site of Bonyhad (HU) had previously been closed, causing the loss of 900.
