European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The restructuring plan announced on October 10 2002 implies 2,200 job losses, included those announced earlier. This efficiency-enhancing programme initiated in the fall of 2002 is extended by a further savings potential of 80 million euros per year. The planned measures to cut costs will affect some additional 1,000 jobs worldwide. The possibility of further closures of Heidelberg production sites worldwide is also being examined. November 2003. Heidelberg will cut down workforce by up to 1000 jobs worldwide.
