Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Boots, the high street chemist, will axe 500 jobs at its Nottingham headquarters. The job losses came as the company announced a 17% fall in annual pre-tax profits to £494.9 million.
Boots is looking to further reduce costs with a target of saving £100 million announced last November.
