European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In the framework of a world-wide restructuring plan, the reduction of 250 jobs is announced in Italy, out of a total employment level of 450 people. The unit at Biella will be closed down. 200 workers will be made redundant while 100 will have to move to Milano. This will become one of the main company locations. The R&D unit for shoes will be relocated from Peabody (US) to Montebelluna (Italy, Treviso) by the end of September 2003.
