Description
Orskov announced 350 redundancies on January 29 2002, and in August of the same year a further 390 were dismissed in connection with the closure of the 'new building department'. In January 2003 the shipyard changed name to Orskov Yard and activities were focused on ship repair only. August 20 2003, 154 employees were sent home on shift in agreement with the unions. In October 2003 a further 44 had to be dismissed due to failing orders.
