European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The extensive restructuring plan is intended to pull the company out of a two-year slump that has followed the bursting of the hi-tech bubble, explains the group which occupies the second place in terms of shares of market behind BT group. Cable & Wireless also said that it was suspending the dividend payout to shareholders and pull out of the US market.
