European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In the short term, some 200 jobs will disappear at Philips CFT in Eindhoven. CFT has made big losses and should, thanks to these measures, regain profitability for 2005. Philips CFT provides services for other branches of Philips but has to face the competition of other companies; it has therefore to be much more competitive than before.
