European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
After the acquisitions of Powermerger Ruhrgas and Graninge, the german number one in electricity production intends to improve its profitability. Therefore, some 3,500 jobs will disappear by 2006, two thirds of which in Germany, the remaining in United Kingdom.
