Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Nestlé Waters France, subsidiary of Nestlé, and owner of the Vittel, Contrex and Perrier brands, announced a restructuring plan affecting 1,047 jobs out of 4,142 in France by the end of May 2007. Several plants will be affected by the measure: Vittel (Vosges) with 378 job losses, Contrexéville (Vosges) with 282 job losses and Vergèze (Gard) (where Perrier is produced) with 356 job losses. The headquarter of Issy-les-Moulineaux will also be hit with 28 job losses. The CGT, the majoritarian union at Nestlé Waters, has opposed the social plan and it has thus been cancelled. Management has threatened to cease the Perrier brand.
