Description
In the frame of its costs cutting programme, Agfa will suppress some 200 jobs in Leverkusen. Agfa explains this measure by the weakening demand for films and film products. Agfa had a workforce of 19,341 employees worldwide (full time equivalent permanent employees on December 31, 2002) and about 5,100 in Germany (December 21, 2001).
In August 2003, some 600 jobs more will be suppressed in Germany above the 200 already announced.
