Description
The Assistance publique — Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) will shed 900 non-medical staff until 2006. This is a cost-cutting measure as the Paris hospitals have to spare 60 million euros a year in order to reach budgetary equilibrium by 2006. Provided these savings are done, the state will put in 230 million euros in the hospitals' budget. Management declared there will be no redundancies, job reduction will be achieved via internal transfers and retirement measures.
