700 job losses announced earlier, in september 2002 343 more were announced.
Press release 'PinkRoccade sees cost reductions bear first fruits in Q2' Voorburg, 11 Sept. 2002 'The first steps were already taken at the end of 2001, resulting in the loss of 696 jobs as at 30 June 2002. As a market recovery is not foreseen for the first half of 2003, and given the need expressed by the Management Board to improve profitability, the number of jobs will be further cut in the coming months in both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This will be achieved through natural wastage on the one hand and additional capacity reduction on the other'.
August 2003, 250 jobs more to suppressed, partly direct dismissals. The objective is to have a workforce of about 7300 employees at the end of the process (9400 in 2002).
