European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
This restructuring is part of the worldwide restructuring of Philips in order to reduce production costs. More than 60,000 workers around the world could loose their jobs.
The production chain in Spain, which manufactured lamps and industrial illumination, could be moved to France, Germany and Poland.
