Description
In April 2002, Mitsubishi Electric announced the closure of its Estrelles plant, affecting 580 jobs. An outplacement scheme has started, setting up a job convention with 50 plants of the industrial area with more than 500 employement opportunities.
In February 2003, the closure of the plant was effective, with the dismissal of 580 workers.
In October 2003, Mitsubishi Electric announced that more than 94% of its ex-workforce has found a new job in the industrial area.
