European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Altadis group announced a Europe-wide restructuring plan affecting 1,678 jobs in France and Spain. The measure is due to the decrease in the tobacco consumption market. Many units will be closed affecting 701 jobs in France and 977 jobs in Spain between the beginning of 2004 and the end of 2005.
