Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In June 2002, the MAN Roland Group employed 10,610 persons. The total number of cost-effective employees (including third-party contractors, without trainees) was reduced by 218 people in the first half of 2002. Compared to 30 June 2001, the total number was reduced by 627 people. In March 2003, the company announced that further job cuts would be necessary.
