Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Newell Rubbermaid announced the restructuring of its 'house ware' division in France ('home fashion' branch composed of Céanothe holding and Panodia). The social plan hits 322 jobs over 830: 189 are direct dismissals and 133 will be transfered to other units. The measure involves the closure of two units: 'Céanothe' at Vénissieux (168 workers) and of 'Panodia' at Neung-sur-Beuvron (89 workers). As well as the closure of four warehouse at Limousin, Sologne, Yveline and Rhône.
