European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Industeel, subsidiary of Arcelor, announced a restructuring plan affecting 180 workers on a total of 826. Yet in December 2001, Industeel dismissed 177 workers.
The measure is due to improve the efficiency of the company, with the objective of having positive results by 2006.
