Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Etilam, subsidiary of the Arcelor group, announced a restructuring plan affecting half of its workfoce (165 workers) by the end of 2004. Several plants are affected: Thionville with 95 jobs to be cut, Solesmes with 37 jobs and Gray whith 33 jobs. The plant of Saint-Dizier (126 jobs) is not concerned by the plan.
