Description
It is understood that the job losses in the company's Cork plant are the result of the plant losing a major contract to a sister plant in the Far East, which could produce at a lower cost. Ninety of the proposed job losses will affect permanent contracts, with the remainder affecting temporary positions. The company headquarters are in Singapore. The redundancy terms offered are five weeks pay per year of service inclusive of statutory entitlement.
