European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Snaigė, a Lithuanian manufacturer of refrigeration appliances, announced the dismissal of all 190 employees at its production facility in Alytus following a court-ordered bankruptcy on 28 October 2026.
The decision follows severe financial difficulties, with the company’s liabilities exceeding its assets. The redundancies will affect the entire workforce, with all employment contracts terminated through direct dismissals.
Snaigė is a long-standing manufacturer of household appliances, having operated in Alytus since 1963. The company is part of the EDS Invest 3 group and has historically been a major employer in the region.
