Description
Kahla Porzellan, a German porcelain manufacturer based in Kahla, Thuringia, announced that it has filed for insolvency.
The company cited a decline in orders and rising energy prices linked to the war in the Middle East as the main reasons for its financial difficulties.
Employees were informed of the situation during a works meeting. However, it remains unclear how the insolvency will affect the workforce or whether job cuts will follow.
The company employs around 120 people at its Kahla site.
