Description
MasterD, a Spanish training provider, has announced up to 231 job cuts in Spain affecting about 20 % of its workforce of roughly 1 200 employees in Spain.
The restructuring aims to adapt the company’s operating model to changing student demand, requiring faster response and improved services. New processes and tools are being introduced, making some roles redundant.
Unions have expressed strong opposition, citing high profitability and potential sale plans, and will mobilise to halt the layoffs. Negotiations with workers are scheduled to begin on the 4th of November 2026.
MasterD is part of the Davante group, which includes more than 120 centres across Spain, Portugal and Italy.
