European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Groupe Schiever, a French retail logistics group, is expanding its operations by constructing a new warehouse in Magny (Yonne). The project will create 100 jobs in hiring in logistics. The increase in transport flows is expected to require at least 20 additional drivers. The company also expects the development to generate up to 400 jobs over five years.
The project is being supported by U Logistics, the logistics company of the food distributor Coopérative U. The recruitment will include several positions, including order pickers, forklift operators, foremen and managerial roles. Construction began in March 2026, while the 54,000 m² warehouse is scheduled to become operational in June 2027.
The expansion aims to streamline supply chains, cut transportation distances by an estimated 700 000 km per year, and reduce CO₂ emissions by 2,500 tonnes annually, reflecting a strong green-transition strategy.
Groupe Schiever employs over 7,000 workers across the world.
