European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Aaronia, a German defence-technology company, announced plans to expand its Eifel site near Strickscheid and Euscheid, creating up to 150 new jobs. The expansion will triple the current site area by acquiring a former Christmas tree farm of 40 000 m². The company has not communicated a specific timeline of the expansion.
This expansion reflects a strong market demand for drone-defence systems amid rising EU investment in aviation security. The expansion aims to solidify Aaronia’s position in a booming sector while supporting local employment in the Eifel region.
The expansion is limited to the site near Strickscheid and Euscheid.
The company only has a production site in the Eifel which already has roughly 70 employees today.
