Description
GSK, a British pharmaceutical company, announced in September 2026 the reduction of more than 500 posts at its Poznań site in Wielkopolskie. The company decided to transfer part of the activity to India and to consolidate some support services outside Poland, under a three-year programme presented in July to simplify operations and concentrate resources, supporting a sales target above GBP 40 billion by 2031.
The posts affected are in information technology, a support function within the site, rather than in pharmaceutical production. No timeline for implementing the job losses has been announced. NSZZ Solidarność, whose company organisation is chaired by Hieronim Marut, is entering negotiations on departure terms. GSK states that supporting employees and cooperating with the unions is its priority.
Poznań will remain the location of one of GSK's two multifunctional Global Capability Centres.
