European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mewa Textil-Service, a German textile service provider headquartered in Wiesbaden, announced the opening of a new cleanroom laundry facility in Meißenheim. The expansion adds around 50 new jobs to its existing workforce of 318 employees at the site.
The plant, covering about 1 700 square metres, is designed for high-security clothing handling and incorporates solar power and fully digitised processes with RFID-Chips and automated control systems. The move supports the company’s European growth strategy and strengthens its position in demanding markets such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology and semiconductor manufacturing. The project reflects a commitment to green transition through climate-neutral production and digitalisation of operational workflows.
The employment effect is limited to the site in Meißenheim.
Mewa Textil Service has around 6400 employees across 54 sites in 15 different countries.
