European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Econyx Spa, an Italian environmental services company, announced a 100% acquisition of Recuperi Pugliesi Srl and is creating almost 200 new jobs across its two plants in Bari and Modugno. The expansion focuses on upgrading waste treatment facilities with automated material selection lines, boosting both green and digital transformation efforts. New hires will commence within the coming months as part of an investment programme that also aims to enhance operational capacity near a million tonnes per year. The move strengthens Econyx’s integrated industrial chain from logistics to recycling and positions it as a key player in Italy’s sustainable waste sector.
