European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
POLREGIO, a Polish railway operator, announced the addition of 180 new crew members between January and July 2026, with plans to recruit another 150 staff later that year. The move is strengthening service capacity across Poland, notably in the Opole region.
The expansion positions POLREGIO for increased passenger demand, with training centres across Poland ensuring skill readiness.
The hires include machinists, train managers, rolling stock inspectors and shunting personnel trained for example through advanced simulators. POLREGIO is also providing other employer-funded training programmes and on-the-job mentoring.
